Ive had lots of incidents like that happen Tony. I used to take real risks of being hit it was part of my show at the time. It was what sold lots of tickets back then. I know looking back ~I was quite mad.

But hypnosis is just a word a label that describes what we do. I don't understand all the different labels people try and bring in to describe this process hypnosis works for me.

And nobody knows what it is exactly and I doubt they ever will.

On this we can agree completely. I just go one step further. Not only don't I know; I don't care. The question of what is going on doesn't concern me, just so long as the audience think they see something happening.

I don't care what is going on to an extent but I do care that it IS going on if you see what I mean. And whats going on is funny outrageous as well as amazing. Its what you do with the phenomena that counts but you still need the phenomena.

I agree with Mind Punisher that it is very useful to know what is going on. I think you become a better performer if you understand what is motivating your subjects to act in such a peculiar manner. Once you know what is happening you are very able to handle certain situations without panic or apprehension. However, what Mind Punisher thinks is going on is not necessarily what I think is going on.

What you think is going on in my mind might not be what you think is going on in the volunteers mind but what you think is going on might just be an example of what I think is going on in everybody's mind. But that doesn't mean you are wrong showman it just means that what I think is going on in the volunteers mind could also be going on in your mind which is why you can't see what is actually going on in the volunteers mind. At least that to my mind is what I think is going on.
