If you are interested in a drawing duplication, I have posted my approach in 'Inner Thoughts'. It is called Post Impression, check it out.
It is not perfect, but is simple, effective, and easy. Sean |

There are some impromptu methods of drawing duplication.
Some of them were published recently. |

I wouldn't say this is THE BEST, but certainly one of the most simplistic yet effective methods that I've seen...Patrick Kuffs' Bold Business.

Check out George Anderson's booklet "It must be Mind Reading". He uses the principal of design duplication with smaller pay type envelopes. This can be expanded to a stage/parlour situation by using larger manila envelopes and achieving an actual duplication or being "off" slightly to avoid the "Too perfect" scenario. Presentation is open to creativity. Cheers......

Hi!
At the moment I use Kuffs' duplication or my own as they are quite similar. I've been working on a booklet covering several of my dupes. I started long time ago, but it never seems to get done. Cheers, Daniel Young

Cassidy's "White Dwarf" Which originally appeared in Magick and is still available in Art of Mentalism is still one of my favorites.

Essentially, it's a great preshow way of getting someone to draw anything then they seal it and keep it and you can draw it later. It can be done on stage, but you have to be in complete control of your angles and audience. Greg

What about Jaks or Better from Collector's Workshop? It got a huge reaction at my last show.

Could you give us some further description - it doesn't "google" for me!
"Unlike the mere Conjuror, the Mentalist reaches into that space which a hat normally covers. And from there, he withdraws something more fleeting - and at times, far fuzzier - than any rabbit"

He named the colour of 3 chosen spectator's front doors 2. The drawing dup, was done real time, in full view and involved no removing of the sheet, no impression devices, no pre-show. I'm not sure if Jack markets this, but a DIY version could be made (with some money and a bit of knowledge) PM if you want more |

Another design duplication that I just dug up is called "Duplicated Thought" by Len Belcher- published by Supreme many years ago. I don't know if it is available anymore. Basically it is showing large cards each with different geometric designs in 5 colours. Volunteer draws one of the designs while performer is out of the room or back turned. Performer duplicates design in exact colour combination. This one uses coloured chalk on boards. Add this into the information base. Cheers.......
