I think we should all post a photo of SOMETHING...I'll start.
My favorite "cute animal" to make is a giraffe. It's quick and easy (less than 2 minutes including art work) and is a most requested figure. Here's my daughter Willow holding one.... Your turn...

Here is something seasonal. I have started using Geos for a base since I took this picture. |

I love the Turkey. I don't really have anything for Thanksgiving. Can you share how you made this?

Don't want to get political as we work for both sides of the aisle, but we were asked to make this one for a rally. I think it came out good! Only took about 10-12 minutes!

I love it. I don't do much with letters but I should. A great way to personalize a hat.

Also, loving the Spider from Balloon Magic. Very quick for line work, although I can't decide if I like Agates or Polka Dots better. I go back and forth.

Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to post pictures. I have a friend who is going to help me soon. I love to see what everyone is doing. PaulFlury...I would love a tutorial on your beautiful turkey! Would you be willing to share? And EvansFlorida...Which Balloon Magic has the instructions for the spider? I love it! Thanks!

Hey, Suz! Yeah the spider is great. It's actually in Issue 68 and is David Brenion's design. It's a bracelet and it's for Halloween, but is one I'll make all year.

Roll-through the eyes and tie off at the neck. Then add the beak. Thread the legs through the bottom of the bird body and twist the feet. For the wings and upper body I start with a 260, almost fully inflated, at the pinch twist under the neck wrapping back toward the rear pinch twists with a sort of upward tilt like wings then continue around to the front. Then using the rest of the balloon I make another loop, more flat this time to give the appearance of a fatter upper body. The upper body wraparound should be above the wings in the front yet below the wings in the rear. I hope this view from above provides illustration. To finish, I loop some appropriate colors between the rear pinch twists for the tail, add a scrap of red for the waddle and add the eyes. This guy stood up on his own. Typically if I’m doing this as a centerpiece, I use a Geo for a base. |
