I saw this great family entertainer/balloon twister at Monday Night Magic in NYC. I just can't remember his name. He did great balloon work like a stripper on a pole and other creative things, but he also told jokes that the parents got and that went over the kids heads. At the end of his act, he got inside a giant balloon with a deck of cards, his wife shot a cannon at the balloon, which burst and the card selected by the child was impaled on the performers butt with the giant dart. Does anyone know the name or possible contact information for this artist?

John Cassidy. Personally I think he is the best balloon entertainers out there but sadly he maintains little contact with the balloon twisting community. While his sculptures are not technicly difficult he sure as hell makes them entertaining.

Here is a lecture he gave at Ted,

John and his photo are on a display in area schools.

It mentions win an assembly with him and his wonderful creations.

I witnessed his talent in person back in Boston. At the big S.A.M. convention.

Awesome on stage, and very humble off. A great combination.
