I think Jon's version of Faucett Ross's Follow The Leader was worth the price of the lecture and a KILLER piece of card magic. Jon used small close-up mat circles, but you could use a red and a black poker chip. That's what I'm going to use.

Did he actually went over the tiny plunger routine?

Other lecturers have included marketed effects in their lectures (Max Krause comes to mind). Regardless, he didn't demo it.
It's also available now at Tannen's from a lecture Jon did there I believe. |

Finally purchased this last night and just wanted to say I thought this was an excellent lecture. Everything you could want from a lecture is here - fully worked effects, moves and technical advice, and perhaps most importantly, theory. Jon's thoughts on the current state of card magic and how to avoid common pitfalls were great pieces of advice. Jon is incredibly likable and I was grinning for almost 3 hours while watching this. Highly recommended.

The lectures are $24.95 when first aired. Then they go to $29.95. The cool box deal is $19.95, so that's only around a 15% discount off the original price. Artists themselves do shows where discounted tickets are offered.
L&L gives away free dvd sets of an artists work in their sales. Which means....it's nothing personal: It's strictly business. Zombie Corleone |

Donald, it often costs $20 to attend a lecture in real life, and neither that or Penguin LIVE's price should be disturbing.
Neither of them are the measure of someone's life's work. Just a token of appreciation for a glimpse -- and a mutually agreed upon one at that. PS: I don't think any of us could afford the real price of a great magicians' "life's work" |

Just wanted to add -- not to hijack the thread back -- that I'm happy to see lectures start showing up in the Cool Box. It's not a huge discount, but it's enough to probably prompt me to take a chance on a few people I might not have normally downloaded.
