Here's the latest on my film: DEN was the opening night film for the first Hollywood Underground Film Festival. There was a buzz throughout the festival and it received a lot of positive comments from other filmmakers. One of the best comments came from the projectionist who thought it had been shot on 35mm and freaked out when I told him it was miniDV... he proceeded to call all the the other filmmakers in to see the film.
Anyway, tonight was the closing night gala dinner at the Hollywood Hyatt in the Penthouse. DEN won for the BEST DRAMATIC FEATURE!!! There was a loud cheer from the entire room when DEN was called out which startled me because up until then only the various tables cheered for their films... apparently DEN was a popular favorite among the whole festival. VARIETY was there, and will have a story about the festival in Monday's edition and the show EXTRA also will be doing a piece on it. As for the future of DEN... well, the head of the festival loved it from the beginning and he will be starting a company in Munich that will distribute films and he was to talk to them about taking DEN on as the first project. It's Hollywood talk so we'll see what happens when the check clears. It's been quite a ride and worth every penny. Can't wait to start work on the next one. Thanks to all that cheered DEN on throughout this crazy ride. See ya!!! Greg

Thanks, Paul. It's getting late over here, but it's hard to sleep after something like this... The crazy thing is I have to get up early to be an extra on a friend's film so it's nappy time for me.
