Heya!

So, I'm scratching my head and can't for the love of God remember the name or who created/polarized this trick;

A card is selected and put back in the deck.
The cards star to get dealt one by one in two piles (one for the magician and one for the spectator)
The magicians pile is picked up and once again dealt into to piles....
This goes on and on until the magician has only one card left, the selection. MAGIC!

Yes, you all know it, but what is it?
Gracias! Smile

It sounds like Premonition Outdone, but that uses two decks.

Here's one. There was an essentially self working trick that revealed the selected card by spelling any 7 ( or 8 depending on which card is turned) letter name. Published in "The Linking Ring" about 1-2 years ago. The name used in the publication and patter was Houdini. Can anyone remember the source. I have 3 members of my family that this works with and they keep requesting it. I can't seem to find it. Thanks

Thank you all for your responses but it's neither of them that I'm looking for.

But maybe you can help me with the actual reason that I need the trick.
I am looking for a trick that I can use to bargain for an item (not for real but for a spoof)
More specific I want the trick to progress in a way that the "subject" believes his probability of winning increases through out until the end when the magician wins!

Lol, I hope this explanation makes sense to someone!

Also, I'm an advanced card handler so it doesn't have.to be self working!

Thank you so much!!

Sorry, I used the topic to ask my question. Thought you had the answer so I was curious about mine. It's really a simple little trick but for some reason they are crazy about it and I can't remember or find it.

Okay; just for you - I wrote Tantalizer Treatise (What Are The Odds?) the first long item in SPECIAL EFFECTS. As I wrote there, I had originally intended it to be a manuscript, etc. Anyway, if you care at all about the concept, who knows?, you might even check it out! I devised, wrote, the bloody thing JUST FOR YOU. But, your call.

Wait, you recommended "What Are The Odds" above, but without mentioning its actual title of "Tantalizer Treatise"?!!

So you knew the name of the Royal Road trick he was asking for, and instead of pointing him to it, you suggested he buy your $93 book instead?!! And you omitted the part of your item's name that would answer his question?!

So helpful!

Oh, and wrong again, Mr. Duanebury (for about the millionth time?) - the actual title of the item IS - WHAT ARE THE ODDS? On page 4 of SPECIAL EFFECTS, $93.20 (not $93.00 - Gee, you omitted the 20 cents. Good grief!!) Oh, and it's $110.20 if ordering from out of the U.S.A. And, how silly can we get? If the OP was at all interested, he check out my HELP - if not, not. Thanks so much, DB, for the extra plug opportunity. But, you don't have to help - we can make a deal. You don't tell me how to be helpful, and I promise - I'LL NEVER TELL YOU HOW TO DO ANYTHING - because you are so perfect!

WOW, all that for $93.20 + shipping?

Where can I sign up?

Gee you could have made DVDs with 5 - 7effect each ( if you were generous) and charged $30 a piece or released each effect individually by streaming video at $10 each. All this material could have brought in, what 10-12 DVDs or 45-50 downloads.

So that would be what $300 for DVDs or $400-500 for downloads

. Quick, where can I order? Oh but I guess I have to be able to read, maybe even think creatively. Hey, I can do that, where can I order?

No, $93.20 includes p/h. Doesn't much matter, Mr. Duanebury would have found something, anything, to b***h about.

Wow.

To repeat:

You knew the name of the Royal Road trick he was asking for, and instead of pointing him to it, you suggested he buy your $93 book instead?!!

And you omitted the part of your item's name that would answer his question?!
