That way, it could have potentially gotten some more people inspired to take up magic. All in all though, it was an interesting watch. Cheers, Lloyd P.s. Breaking Magic // Season 1 - Episode 1 |

OK, after reading these posts I'll admit that I was a bit misguided in my criticism.
Let me say right out that I LIKE Wayne and have several of his effects. But this show was not what I expected, and it is NOT for me. I will say, though, as one who likes to use PK effects, I still think that the "Smart Oil" thing did expose the use of m*****s to the general public. I would have liked it if they did NOT do that! |

I caught the ending of one of the shows. The bungee jump one...
I thought it was interesting. I knew the phonebook thing, but still.. jumping and putting your life on it... that has to be at least a little freaky. As for exposing magnets... please... Any time any lay person ever sees a magic trick their first answer is always magnets. "That card is floating".. "Magnets!" That's like the number one answer from laymen. That and mirrors. I don't think it's anything to worry about, nor do I think hiding the word magnet is necessary either. Let them think magnets for everything. They be wrong!! |

Lay people learn about magnets in science class. Randi is right, let them think what they want.

I would be interested to hear what the reviews are like from non magicians, as we obviously will be biased. It works both ways though, I am a big fan of Derren Brown, he is well received, but because I have the understanding of what he is doing I have a greater appreciation.

Watched this show for the first and last time.
In my opinion, it is an exposure show no matter how you might dress it up. THEM was pretty bad..This is worse. Kill your T.V. ...save the children. |

Sadly, Wayne apparently had an unfortunate serious performing incident ala "Burn Notice."

Still, I hope he doubles his Shows after this.
Show them you can't keep a good man down.
