This effect looks a lot like Joe Berg's "Die Divination Box" that was marketed years ago. It might be fair to give just credit to the original creator.

Joe,
Let's not start a flame, to early in the thread. One thing I know about Richard and Jim is they are VERY fair on crediting. If it is a decendent of Joe's work it will be credited. I have not seen all the material, just the marketing material, so it would be unfair to assume Richard did not credit the appropriate people at this point. Tony |

No flame intended, but I own the Berg trick (I purchased it about 30 years ago) and the box depicted in the photo of the "Whispering Die" is indeed identical to the Joe Berg Die Divination Box. Berg is not credited in the advertising. I'm just sayin'...

We're supposed to credit in advertising now too?

The thing I love about mentalism is that it is so 'organic', and it can be performed with nothing more than some envelopes, a pad, a pencil and a weird looking purpose-built wooden box with a die in it.

Thanks for your interest in The Whispering Die.
All crediting, of course, is given on the instructional DVD. It should be noted the presentation and handling is different than anything that has appeared in print. Additionally, the apparatus has been completely redesigned with certain very important changes as well as being of superior quality to anything that has been on the market before. It is a gem! Looks great Richard. Al Cohen used to demo a version of this and it was a miracle in his hands. He also came up with a great blank die ending. This new version with a casino die looks great and I am sure Richard has added some nice touches.

I will deffo buy this.
Richard has never had a fail in my opinion. While there is always the possibility this will not meet expectations, I think that is highly unlikely.

I have placed an order. One of my favourite effects for informal occasions is Psycho Dice (Kaymar Magic). My view is that this might be an alternative.

Looking forward to the reviews on this one.
I will ask for it as a Christmas present if it receives positive feedback.

This LOOKS amazing and I may get it. However the DOTS on the die (corect me if I'm mistaken please) don't look like the standard pips. The die itself and materials may be standard, but the dots look bigger than what I am accustomed to.
