Hello all,

I just purchased from my local magic store a Bicycle gaffed deck with all backs being different (like each one of them coming from a distinct game) and all faces being eights (but in different styles). There are also the 4 aces, which are "normal" (2 regular red backs, 2 regular blue backs).

See the attached pictures.

I was quite disappointed to see that no routines were included in the deck so... I cannot use it, really :-(

Can anyone of you recommend something ?

Many thanks from a beginner magician in Brussels (Belgium).

Hi Oliver,
You purchased a Kaleidoscope Deck, of which there are dozens of versions. It's a classic, and great effect, so you need to go back to the shop and insist on directions, or, have them lead you to a book or website that offers a routine.

My favorite version of this effect is by the great Lennart Green and his Stolen Cards effect:

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

If all the backs are Bicycle it a Kaleidoscope Deck. If they are all different backs from casino and promo decks you have Stolen card. They are the same things yet different. I would go to the shop and not leave till they teach you the trick. If you have no joy PM and ill help you out.
Enjoy your magic,

Have a read of this link. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&forum=2

This type of trick is quite simple but a few variation means slightly different things can be achieved or different stories are available.

Olivier,
PM me your email address and I'll send you my handling (the one that eventually turned into Quintuplicate Coincidence)
Mine is all Casino cards, but the handling is the same.
No trees were killed in the making of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
