Hocus Pocus is advertising a new DVD by Brian Geer. The line-up of effects sounds very interesting.

I know it's too early for a review of the DVD, but is anyone familiar with Brian Geer and his work? Does he have anything in print?

I first saw Brian Geer about 7 or 8 years ago at a lecture in Irvine, CA. We were saying the same thing - "who the heck is Brian Geer?" He turned out to do an excellent lecture, with good, commercial routines. He had some nice work on Paul Harris' "Beanie Weanie" trick, and introduced his Meteor Paddle thingy there. I assume his DVD will include what he did there, so it should be a half way decent.
