Hello All:

Forgive me for tooting my own horn, but I just finished a project that I'm real
proud of. This is a set of either Owen or Thayer Rice, Orange, and Checkers
which I just finished for another magician.

This project is probably the hardest I've ever taken on because of the faux
checker tubes. I had to figure out how to get the paint lines perfectly
aligned to match the width of the individual checkers. Then, putting on
the clear coat finish on the individual checkers was a new challenge -
trying to get both sides to look perfect without any overspray was another

Anyway, I'm real happy, but very glad this project is done. I just had to
show this to somebody!! Here are the finished photos

Tim Silver -

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Thanks for indulging me, guys! I feel much better.

Jay: No lacquer...just enamel with high gloss clear coat (enamal).
I polished everything with Macquire's Ultimate Rubbing Compound.

Thanks again, everybody, for the encouragment.

Ron, I was just dusting the shelves of my magic room this weekend, and stopped to admire the few pieces I have of yours. Your pieces are absolutely fantastic...far better in person than photos portray. I feel lucky to have the effects of yours that I do. I hope the magician who is getting this set is as appreciative. Magnificent!
