It's cool. I've actually seen that before in book about codes. The CIA actually used the system for a very brief time. The agents were taught how to trace out the letters and a special sequence - like combination lock - was developed for the tracing of the letters. The sequence was U for up, D for down, L for left etc... A message would be written in that sequence and the agents would follow the sequence to pull the coded message.
I didn't know that his books were at the Library of Congress. Next time I am in D.C., I know where I will be spending a few days. Cool stuff. Peace and Godspeed.
Peace

Hello Dreadnought. I didn't see this message string until just now. I'm the guy who wrote the blog and created the video about The Houdini Alphabet, as I call it. I had never seen anything like it before, so I'm intrigued about what you said regarding the CIA using a similar code system. Do you happen to know the title of the book you read that in? A Google search yielded nothing, but I was hoping you could tell me more about it. And yes, if you're in D.C., I know you'll love seeing the stacks. It's been more than 20 years since I've been there myself, and back then you had to call ahead to make an appointment. Just a heads-up in case. Looking forward to hearing more about the CIA code when you have time.
And thanks, Eddie, for posting the link. All the best, Tom Interval |

Might make a good back design for a deck of cards.

You're right Mind Guerrilla, that would make an awesome card back. Hopefully, one of the many card producers who advertise here will jump on this.

YES!!! Oh man, Vic, if you did these cards...gulp. No, make that double...no triple gulp. Oh heck, gulp X infinity...
Imagine the set up just showing a single card back to your spectators."Some people look at these cards and say they see numbers. Some say they see letters. Others...say pictures...like planets, or stars. But what if there were dark and arcane symbols that were also present? Symbols that should never be seen?"

I have lots of books on codes. It is sort of a hobby of mine and a big piece of what I do professionally. If I am recalling correctly, it was in either Spycraft by Robert Wallace and Keith Melton or a book titled Codebreakers the book I cannot find at the moment, it is somewhere. Both are good reads and my most recent reads on the subject.
Peace
