So what? The USDA regulates all kind of animal issues . That's what they do. They are running the musem like a Zoo. the USDA has jurisgiction over Zoos, aligator wrestling exhibits, snake farms, petting zoos etc...

You're obviously unfamiliar with, or just ignoring, the many thousands of mundane cases that are heard annually before courts and administrative bodies. They comprise over ninety-percent of what they do. And always have
Someone reports a case of animal neglect to the USDA. That agency has the responsibility to investigate it. It's their job. |

Yes, I love that "substantially." Hi Bob, I'm wondering if animal neglect isn't something that's usually handled at the local level. Subsidiarity and all that. |

Read the case, Woland. The USDA had jurisdiction in this matter and therefore were obliged to investigate. If they didn't, I'm sure that those who take routinely take potshots at ANYTHING the government does if they don't approve of a given administration, would have been screaming about lazy government agencies that don't do their jobs.
