Hello and Merrie Christmas to all! Here is a very neat web site with hand-made items that are unique and seem to be very nicely made. I believe many things here will be of interest to those in this forum who may not already know about the site. Very easy and enjoyable to browse. I thought you all should know about it.

Thanks!......Michael

It's true. Fernando Roden "El Cubilete" is the main hand-made manufacturer of cups and balls, chop cups, and related stuff in Spain and every pro here uses his items. He's an architect and he uses his knowledge about desing and magic (and with some of the best spanish magicians as advisors) to develope items of the exact size, lenght, weight... that the item need to be great in performance. Superb quality that improves your handling in any routine.

Great to see that he uses a couple of great Aussie anthems in his Chop Cup video clip.

The leather cups and balls looks so nice. Just ordered a set of
leather cups and balls for 190 Euros, expensive, yet seems really
well made.

Hi sadhu, can you give a review when you get yours? I am interested in the mini chop cups but don't know what's the difference between the deluxe and the normal ones. There is not other information. The only difference is the colors.
And they don't come with the balls.

Maps, I will be getting my set within a week and I'll be happy
to write a review. Actually, they are quite good in answering any
inquiries if you write to them.

Hello everyone, I am totally in love with his material, the best I found so far.

Regarding the question to the minicup, I think the deluxe version has more seams and the leather is thicker but I am not 100% sure, I recommend you to contact him directly by mail, you can find it in the web.

My especially in love with the balls!! Small, medium or big loads. Awsome!!

Best Regards

Pipo

Does anyone know if Fernando RodEn is still in the business of making magic props? The link to his website up above no longer works. I recently watched a Penguin lecture by Alberto De Figueiredo and he used a chopped dice cup (and die) made by Fernando and they both looked great.

I contacted Woody Aragon (who posted early in this thread) via PM a few months ago and he informed me that Fernando is no longer in the business of making magic props. Too bad, as his props sounded amazing...

For those who expressed interest, I've found the next best thing to Fernando Roden's chop cups and dice stacking cups (maybe even comparable): Another Spanish artisan by the name of Miguel Pizarro. I recently purchased the Pipo Villanueva mini-chop cup set and it's lovely (Pipo in fact commented in this very thread back in 2013!). See website here: www.elchopcup.com

Miguel Pizarro's work looks lovely. Thanks for sharing Merenkov.

Anyone purchase his Spirit Key or Lippincott Box yet?
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
