This is an idea I've been toying with.
And before everyone starts chanting the dangers, let me say that I am WELL aware of the dangers of fire. This is idea that if I decide to pursue I will have EVERY imaginable safety procaution. What I'd like thoughts on is the idea of ending a fire eating performance by actually lighting the performer on fire, but then revealing him to be totally unharmed. Any thoughts on the performance method, (NOT the method for producing flames or kneeing the performer safe under those flames. Follow the Café's rules please.) And how hard you think the affect would hit? |

I will pass the safety thing as I believe that it is up to your responsibility to take care of it.
I suppose that you are going to try and do something too big without getting an analogical result. An effect like this would play very well if you had a lot of place to move, run etc so you can openly show the fire on you, probably with the audience surrounding you and not watching just from the front. Ending with a big shot of fire either from hands either from mouth (by blowing the special liquid) would be more than enough. So in my opinion, in this case less is more. Just my thoughts |

Be careful in how you present it that the audience doesn't think there's a problem or an accident has happened and either try to rush you and help or start trying to get the heck out of there.

My boss's company does full body burns.
In a word: DON"T. There is an unbelievable amount of LEARNING to get these right, and they still can go wrong. It is not just a matter of slapping some "STUFF" on to protect yourself. |
