The Las Vegas Review Journal, Sunday 12/22/2012, reports two acts of violence occuring in Nevada Resort Casinos that are really quite rare. However, they should prove to be of interest to some of the members herein, so I will reproduce the entire article below.
While I certainly don't want to bring back the days of mob control in Las Vegas, I wonder if this stabbing would have likely occurred knowing the consequences might be most undesirable. Quote:

There is a bit of violence here and there but this one got the publicity because it happened in a public area. In the past I know of at least 3 shootings that occured and never made the papers. They cover stuff up better than the CIA ever could out here, lol. The thing with the stabbing was two broads going at it, theyre always in the center of these things, always making mountains out of mole hills, never fails. They were probably beefing over the early out or one of them came back late from break, lol. The worst thing that ever happened was they let women become dealers, they should have let them stay as Cocktail waitresses and maids and clerks at check in, all theyre good for is trouble and nonsense. Just my fair minded unbiased opinion, as always. |

Return of the Mob? Sounds more like the return of a couple Micky Mouse lovers who lost it.

Now they are charging this nut case with murdering a 10 year old girl, they found the kids body in North Vegas and they found blood in this broads car. Unreal.

There is a lot of gang activity in Vegas but people who had gone there before the corporations took over in the early 80s said that they felt safer then than now. I wonder if we would have had so much trouble with street gangs in our cities if the mob still ran things. (Not that they don't, I mean just that before, the mob was a more visible force and there seemed to be a tacit understanding between them and the police). Call the FBI, CIA, and Interpol, but, I am a fan of the mafia in the sense that unlike these street gangs and other so-called organized crime groups, Cosa Nostra didn't kill innocents; such an act would be a swift death penalty with two behind the ear.
While what I wrote has nothing at all to do with the incident reported by Cagliostro, I am answering that I do wish the mob would own the city again. |
