Nothing against the Cesaral system, but the point of this thread was $1.99.
Sound Master starts at around $1000.00. Just sayin. |

Peeps,
For anyone having Album Art problems. Go to Itunes, right click on song, select "Get Info" from drop down menu. Select the Info Tab to adjust the mp3 tags. Here is an example if you had a Chair Suspension song. Name: Chair Suspension Artist: My Magic Show Music Album Artist: My Magic Show Music Album: Chair Suspension If you notice above, the ALBUM tag is what PlayMyQ HD Displays as album art in full screen mode. Also verify under the ArtWork Tab that the album art files are different. Then Sync. For album art dimensions and file format, look above as that was covered by others in this thread. G

G posted that above because I was having some trouble getting the Album Art to show properly in full-screen mode with PlayMyQ HD. I had created custom art for each track and that had worked great when just using the iJet remote and silent tracks but, with PlayMyQ HD, the same custom art would stay on the display when switching tracks. It turns out it was because I had the same album tag for each track. (They all came from the same Arthur Stead CD and the album name was picked automatically by iTunes as the tag.) When I changed the album tag for each track so that the album track matched the track name, it worked properly.
Since this is kind of confusing to explain, especially if you aren't familiar with the Get Info area of iTunes, I made some screen captures to show what I did. The first one shows what the dialog box looks like when you right click on the track and select Get Info (as gothike listed above): You can see I put a red outline around the Album tag. Here's where the custom album art goes (select the Artwork tab at the top): Hope that helps. By the way, I'm really liking this so far. I've only been able to work with the remote for a day. (I was without an iPod Touch until yesterday and my iPad Mini needs an expensive adapter to work with the iJet remote dock - I'm waiting for iJet to have the new Lightning connector docks.) I'll give a full review after I get to use it in a show. Michael |

Michael, I bought a couple of the lightning adapters from DailySteals.com for $8 apiece. They've been on a couple of times now. It's a different item on sale every day so you have to check it daily. Lots of good stuff for cheap.

It seems the Lightning connector is a lot more complicated than the older connection. For instance, I've read that some only worked when one side was on top but not the other. Several have reported inconsistencies with their cheaper cords. Until I find one that gets mostly good reviews, I don't want to mess with them. Let me know how well yours work. |

Michael, just discovered that while the adapter does work with the charging cable, it does not work with data transfer so you are right to wait. Might have to actually take the hit and buy an expensive one from Apple. Amazing how they can simply change the connector so that all of the proprietary gear that you invest in is suddenly useless. And yet we still buy their products.

Darn. I was hoping that you found one that worked consistently! I buy their products (Macs, iPods, iPad) because they just work. Yeah, I know they're not perfect but I haven't found anything better and they do what they're supposed to with a minimum of problems. I wanted to find a small form Android tablet that would work for me but none of them did everything I need. I used a 1st Gen. Kindle Fire for keeping my calendar with me and surfing the Web but it was frustrating at times. I considered a Nexus 7 but it wouldn't work with Square so I sold the Kindle Fire and bit the bullet with the iPad Mini. It costs more than I hoped it would but I'm very happy with it. (I really thought it was going to be priced at $299 for the 16GB Wifi model instead of $329.)

Michael, (and anyone else who might need one) I hope you get this message today.
Today only, at http://www.Yugster.com they have for their daily deal an iPhone 5 USB Charging Cable and 30-pin Adapter. This is the text from the page: There are a number of poor quality cables and adapters on the market that were rushed into production once the iPhone 5 came out. (you can find them for sale at a dirt cheap price - they arrive from China in 3 - 4 weeks) The problem is that they don't fit the iPhone 5 properly so they don't work right and the phone won't charge using the adapter. Ours are high quality, tested, reliable pieces at a great price. If the cable or adapter doesn't work or stops working anytime over the next year, we'll send you a new one! The price is $10 plus $3 shipping. |

Will this work with a remote as mentioned above with the iPod touch. The app says it is compatible, but is the remote?
What would be the problems if using an iPod, instead of the more expensive iPad or iPhone? |

I plan to use it mainly with an iPod Touch. Most of my shows are for smaller groups and I'd rather have my Touch on my performing table than my iPad Mini. (The Mini takes up too much space on my table.)
The remote works perfectly with iPods. (I used it for three years with an iPod Nano.) |

Gothike pointed out that PlayMyQ HD has an awesome Song Drag and Drop feature. Tap a Song to select it, you will see Play, Move To, Delete buttons. Right next to Delete button, press and hold the 3 horizontal lines. That will allow you to move the track up and down the playlist. Here's a screen capture of what he's talking about (see the area I outlined in red). The three little lines are to the right of the red box.

Thank you for your respones, sorry I did not make myself clear. I was of course speaking to include the topic of this thread.
Am I correct is saying this app PlayMy Q HD is not compatable with the iPod Touch? I am looking for a device to play the music only, as I am not interested in all the other Internet and computer stuff or movies, etc. So is there a good app that will work with the Touch to play music for my show? Sorry for the questions as I know computers very well, but just not a small device guy and really have not interest outside or playing music for a show. |

I got your question right. The iPod Touch and the iJet remote are working without any problems with this software. Jan

Bill,
It will work with an Ipod Touch if your ios firmware is current. Download the FREE APP to try it (mess around with it) and follow the directions in the first page of this thread. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/playmyq-......283?mt=8 However the Free App does not Fadeout the music. If the Free App works then pay the $1.99 for the HD version that has more features and the FadeOut enabled. G

Guys,
I still need suggestions for features that the developer wants to implement, either in the current app or a seperate app. Here is what I have so far: -Remote Signal Indicator- that a command is received -Playlist Font Size Changer- Sometimes the device is connect to a sound system that is 50-90 feet away -Fade on Pause- witha slider with fadeout time. -Different starting point or ending point with Fade-In slider. -Indivual volume to music tracks PLEASE, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE or if you find a bug. I don't want to flood this thread with features requests and fixes, rather keep it for reviews, suggestions and instructions. G

REVIEW FROM AppStore for PlayMyQ HD:
""CigamlliB: This app works! I needed an app that would 1. fade / crossfade when the Next Track button was pressed 2. Work with a remote 3. Show custom album art 4. Use existing playlists 5. Allow for repeat tracks in the playlist I have tried many apps and none would do all five of the above. This app does all of this and has a few other perks along the way such as a full screen option that I can read from across the stage, volume control from a remote, and previous track as well as next track. In order to display Album Art, the ID3 Tag must be in v2.4 format. This is easy to do inside of iTunes. Right click on the file and choose the Tag Converter."" Developer is working on a remote control signal indicator per several users. Also ios6 introduced a few bugs (thanks Apple) and a fix will be available soon. But the App is fully functional and only $1.99. If anyone wants to share any positive experience with the App please share.
