Great book.
Awesome trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVegDhDxLeU Supposedly Tim Burton is going to direct the movie- but that's just youtube comment rumors. We'll see. I think Del Toro should direct it. |

The still pictures on the trailer are very inspiring! Thanks for the link. I think I'll get the book too.

I held that book in my hands at least 4 times and I always talked myself out of buying it. Well, looks like I will be making a little trip soon! LOL

The book's okay, I quite enjoyed it. There are plenty of other books I'd rather see made into a movie before though, the Anno Dracula series for instance. That said, I'm sure this will be a good romp. Without giving away too much, it's kind of along the lines of X-Men. And certainly no darker than X-Men. I got halfway through and suddenly wondered if this wasn't a book aimed at teenagers - not that that's a bad thing of course, some of my favourite books are *meant* to be children's books.

Well no surprise there, lol. Waterstones never had "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" so I'll have to get it online. Dam* local shops.

A suprisingly good read. Finished it in one sitting.
I could see a few tie ins with Sanctum or Luna. The loops idea has real possibilities. Perhaps the Ripper is a "wight" or even a "hollowgast". I hope the story continues.
