Recently, I have had a urge for a wand! (Never had, or used one!)
I wanted one for use, as a pointer with Tarot (DDT) and use with CC!
So, I purchased two from a group called 'Twisted Witches'.
The first one is made from a cat bone with a crystal on end! (No cat was harmed!)
The second one is from a tree that was struck by lightning! Just a piece of limb with twist and finished! (Extra Energy)
They do their ritual on every wand!
Here is what gives the best back story for the wands!
Missy & Dan are married and make the wands!
Missy is a Vampyre/Witch and Dan,is a Werewolf/Lycra...
"That's what she, said!"

Anybody, using wands in performance ?

I have only used wands for effects in which I was needing them for misdirection...not so much in the bizarre genre. I am curious to hear how you end up using them...as artifacts or tools or ...???

"The Arts Notorious" by Rob Chapman covers the use and meaning of wands in magick beautifully.
I highly recommend it! It might just give you an idea or two.

Yes, but those helping me use it and not me.

They are also never of the straight dowel with contrasting tips variety.

Thanks, Cody! I will check that out! Smile
And,Dr.Todd has recommended to!

David,I have a bunch of ideas,I'm toying with!
Free will, or not?
If wand is in hand of spec, then turned, the energy from crystal is focused...maybe a flash from FISM,or *lash *ot.
And,misdirection. Use as a tool/artifact from modern day Witches!
Love, the backstory of where wands came from, and who made! Smile
(She did say they were,Witch & Wolf!)
And, await to see...who,will be willing to hold these wands! Smile

So Gary, are you suggesting putting a wand in the hands of a spec and using in the same way as a pendulum? I just had to spend a few moments trying this out. It required a fairly heavy wand, a loose grip, patience, and most of the weight at the tip (all pretty obvious, really) for the Ide0m0t0r Movement to kick in. Imagine pointing the wand at slips of paper in turn in a L or D test and waiting for movement; it worked just like a pendulum. Cool!

Rumor had it you had a magic wand? "That's what she, said!"

And now a word from our sponsor>>>>>

What happened to the Outlaw Effects wands?

Perhaps an option......

RCP... LOL
"It's not the size of wand, it's the magic in it" !

To play it safe, I got a 5&1/2 inch 'cat bone', wand with crystal tip.
And,a 19 inch, limb wand from the lightning tree!

I do not mean any disrespect to Missy & Dan...They are the creators of 'Twisted Witches',and they are W & W !

YitzhakNoDice, the 'cat bone' wand is a little over 5 inches, and has a crystal added at the tip.
About, the pendulum effect,it will sway with the heavier weight of crystal at end,and the bone is very light in weight! And,taking a loose proper hold of the end of bone!
I have many pendulums, but once I picked up a crystal Quartz pendulum at a New Age/Wicca place. The Pendulum did not, start the swing as normal!
It kind of hung there, with a vibration, coming from the Quartz. It took very long to begin a swing! This was the first time I ever had this happen!
The Lady,at the shop told me, the pendulum was getting familar with me!
Ok,now I held the 'cat bone' wand, and I felt the vibration,as was felt on the other Quartz! It,is really cool to have things, happen out of normal!
And,the wands from 'Twisted Witches' are to go through a ritual!
I do not know,Missy & Dan. But, I am letting it be known, where the wands are made!

Like David, I've only used a wand for "slight of hand" style magic.
I'm also interested in what anyone has to offer on the subject Gary has offered.

I use a magnifying lass during palm readings, it functions as wand, light, magnifier, and pointer. I also use a Chakra wand.

Adding, a small braid of hair,to the end of the, 'cat bone' wand, makes for a nice hold, and allows a much better swing, for pendulum use! Plus, adds a little extra HUH!,to the wand!
