My only concern is the visibility and durability of the fishing l**e.... My! Advanced asterisking! Took me ages! That'll sure throw the 'muggles' off the scent. Jamie, Horses for different courses I guess. It certainly was a great idea, but I thought it was poorly made and too thick. |

Aleph replaced SAW as my go to mentalism wallet. I found it does so much more and the construction is superior. As you say, horses for courses.
In terms of Anima it appears MaxfieldsMagic gave a far more balanced review having properly tested the gimmick. His worry about visibility of the fishing l**e is really nothing to worry about. All attention is on the deck, not under the arm. I haven't bought it yet as I'm skint but might pick it up at Blackpool, I always manage to negotiate a better deal face to face.

It is always good to see both sides of the story
However you have not addressed the Price issue @ £65.00 many consider this priced too high (putting the gimmick into a fancy Key Fob hardly justify's the Price Tag) |

Is'nt the price tag of 65 Sterling more to do with the English currency and a high value added tax which is in force in England.

Thank's Michel, some shops in the U.S have it with a discount for $70.00 which in British currency would work out at £45.00 which is not
too bad.

Vernet Magic - have set the MSRP of $80.00
in the UK WMS charge (£65.00 inc VAT) As already posted by others out considering what you could purchase for the same money still makes this expensive regardless of if you are in UK or USA As the original Poster pointed out if this was priced more reasonable then he would not have any issues, this point has been ignored by Michel |

Using Themoneycoverter.com 80 dolars is approx. 50,45 pounds
That's the price we charge to "Anima" |

Penguin Magic and The Merchant of Magic have sold out of Anima.
Obviously a good seller for them. I haven't seen many for re-sale yet. Broadly positive I'd say.

When Penguin had it in stock, they were selling it for $60. If you select the free shipping option, the total price works out to about 37.84 pounds sterling.

Yeah, I know. I was just making the point - not clearly, I realize - that for those of us in the USA, this purchase is much more affordable than you might think from reading some of the comments on this thread. I translated the best US price into pounds not because it was available to UK residents, but just for comparison's sake.

I still think 'Chill' by Tom Wright knocks it for dead!
MV addressed a few points but as I had predicted in Another thread the list of 'professional magicians' has been Rolled out 'endorsing' this effect. I wonder how many have been fooled 'badly'? The bottom line here being that £65.00 + delivery here in the UK is well over priced for what you get.

I still think the price is incredibly high, for what can be sold for less.
Just because you disguise a cheap item inside a bigger item doesn't make it worth £50 more or something. It would be good if Michael can jump on and express the reasons towards how he came up with such a price. |

This was decided by Vernet to be priced at $80
Still very high price for what it is as previously Pointed out $80 should be £60.54 but several dealers including WMS have added more than 20% VAT and are adding An extra £5.00 to the price 50.45 adding on 20% VAT = GBP60.54 So at £65 by the time you add another £7.50 postage and package Unlike Penguin in the UK hardly anyone offers Free Shipping You end up with a whopping £72.50 ($112.37) Hopefully everyone can now understand how overpriced this item is for UK Buyers!! |

Regarding the comments of 'set up and 'hook up' being different:
This is the case in most effects that use IT. It's the same with 'Chill' by Tom Wright. You can be 'set up' and ready to go for as long as you like. You then need to 'hook up' to perform which takes no more than 2 seconds. Its the same for most thread reels - hence I can't really see why this is being trumpeted as such a big deal? If this is the biggest USP of the effect then even more reasons to steer clear of it.
