Hi there,

I am new to the forum and am looking for a gold Zombie Ball. I haven't had any luck.

The only one I could find was a sparkly consumer version.

Is there a professional one made?

To the point of any finish being professional.
Take show-cars for example. Some may have a single color and some a metal flake.

You could buy a Vernet, which really takes abuse, and refinish it in gold. In that case it appears sparkly yet the usability is superior then most others.

To me a non-professional Zombie Ball is a ball with a dent. Just drop a smooth ball (silver, gold or purple) and the dent will make it look pretty bad. So it's not the color that should be the highest priority (initially) because color can be changed (paint, anodizing, plating) but the duritibilaty of the prop can not.

RNT used to make gold zombie. I am not sure if RNT2 does but you could check their site.

You can take a good quality zombie ball.. and take it to an auto refinished and have them laquer it in yellow candy.

it will look gold.

Morrissey used to make one.. but their seam is so big.

Viking makes a beautiful Zombie now with a minimal seam. As does Owen for a surprising low price for an Owen prop.

Anodized gold is an ugly color... not metallic at all.

If you could find a place to do it.. you could have it gold plated... but that's an expensive option.

Fab Magic has gold:

This is a very good Zombie, different sizes available, gold or silver, very light and dent proof.

However you will need to ditch the rubber grommet, widen the hole with a dremmel, and glue in a 1 inch desktop cable grommet, they have these at the hardware store.

This makes the ball work with your existing gimmick, you are NOT going to want the gimmick or cloth that comes with this. PM me if you need more information.

My Sister had my 2nd Morrissey Ball electroplated in 24k gold as a present.
I have no idea what the price for this plating is worth though, but it sure looks good.

Thanks Everyone.

I appreciate the help.

I am pleased that I don't have to build something myself.
