Did you have a gig on New Years Eve? If you did, did anything funny happen? Did you have any "problem" audience members.
Here's my little story. One of the audience members sitting around the table I was performing at had recently had 3 various surgeries around his waist and pelvic region, including two hip replacements. He had more metal on him than a Transformer. I was doing Color Match, selected him as my helper and I had my back turned to him. He took the magic marker holder and placed it into his lap and I swear, I couldn't get a signal from him. He took out the first marker and nothing. Thank goodness my back was to him because I probably had the strangest look on my face. There were new batteries in all the various Color Match props, I tested the equipment before the guests had arrive and I had no idea what was wrong. When I asked him to replace the marker and hold the markers at table level so ALL AROUND THE TABLE COULD SEE HIS SELECTIONS, everything worked fine. I guess I would have to get Craig at ProMystic to confirm my suspicions, but I think that all the metal he had encased in his body was interrupting the signals. It was one of those "oh crap" moments. |

You found a human Faraday Cage! Who could have anticipated that. I might suggest testing the CM at various distances from a large metal object such as the hood of a car or a metal door, thereby finding the limitations.
