Yes,fantastic stuff.None of that 'who is a silly sausage?' type stuff.
Imagine ending your show with a dove production? A great Eugene Burger interview as well.

Just found out, that mine is due next week...really looking forward to it!
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

I received mine a couple of days ago. So far, I've watched the full show Danny has on DVD 1 and the two videos of older performances on DVD 3. I am looking forward to going through the rest of it. There's a lot here. Not only does Danny share his audience management techniques but he goes into detailed explanations of the routines he performs.

I just finished watching this DVD set. It is excellent!! This is definitely one I will watch and study several times. It is chock full of great stuff. His show is fantastic. But then to have the commentary to explain why he does everything is even better. Every single thing he does in his show has a purpose, and he explains the reason behind everything.
He explains how he controls the audience. PLUS, you get to see it in action during the show, so you can see that it really works. He has an innovative idea about how to deal with parents talking in the back. This is a tough problem to deal with and he has the best idea I've ever heard. If you do any kids shows at all, this is a must-have. |

Danny, these discs are AWESOME! Hearing your commentary during the show is the best way to hear and see how the strategies play out in front of a real audience. What a GREAT idea! This set is destined to become a resource I'll go back to time and time again. Thanks for putting this out!

No problem. I should mention that his whole 45 minute show consists of 6 routines. A feat that I find impressive as there is so much entertainment in each routine and it flows so well.

Regarding the routines that I perform and teach on the DVD set, Josh London did list all the routines in my show, but the discs also include my warm ups, which are detailed in an accompanying pdf file on Disc 3, and two bonus routines: "Aqua Cups" which is a very clean production of a water after three small cups are shown completely empty... and Chris Carey's "Ropes Thru Dad" in which children help their Dad "escape" magically after being tied up with rope.
If you are in the Chicago, Philadelphia, Northern Jersey, or NYC area, be on the lookout for me. I'm lecturing on The Art of Presenting Magic to Children in those areas before the end of March. My exact schedule is on my site: http://www.dannyorleansmagic.com |

I recently received an email from a part-time magician. For those of you considering purchasing my DVDs, his thoughts might help you in your decision-making process.
________________________________________________________________________________ Hello Danny: I attended your recent lecture and must tell you that it was more insightful and helpful than most lectures I have attended during my journey as a performer. I became a clown 12 years ago, as an outlet to complement a career in the world of finance. Having the mask of a clown has allowed me to transition to situations that I would never have dreamed possible. Of late, I have been solicited to do more and more magic. I can easily do walk around but to perform a show has been frustrating from several points of view, the biggest being capturing attention and controlling the audience, in addition to building an act. I have studied your dvds and had the best magic performance of my career today. From the very start, when I did your "magician's exercises," I had the nursery school audience. The taped Xs on the floor is brilliant and worked perfectly to help children stay put. I identified myself in you, a Type A person, analytical and very thorough, who seeks to excel in his performance. Your demeanor resonated in me. I realize that years of experience, and making mistakes is a huge teacher, but your open format is not only accelerating my learning curve, but exhilarating my enthusiasm. I am not familiar with your credentials, all I know is that as a gentle, soft spoken performer and sharing lecturer, you have made a difference. I look forward to sharing continued success with you. |

Got this a few days ago and skipped immediately to the vintage footage featuring a 25-years-younger Danny Orleans with an effervescent Twinkle (Jan Rose) as they perform an hour-long show in front of thousands of kids. If you haven't seen children's magic performed with all the lights, music, narrative, and showmanship of a fully realized theatrical production, you're about to have your eyes opened to a whole world of possibilities.
I can't wait to make my way through every second of this 3-DVD set; but already, this performance alone has been worth the price of admission. Best ***ed Magic Coloring Book and Misers Dream routines I've ever seen—not just technically but motivationally! Get it now: http://www.dannyorleansmagic.com/magic-p......children

I got the DVD and was at his lecture. It is all good.
I do not think I will do most of the things on the DVD as far as the tricks but to me the most beneficial part of it is his theory on how to entertain children and how to control them. Also the reasons why and when he does what he does can be adapted to enhance your current routines. Buy it. |
