I respect your opinion. I poured my heart and soul into Inspired and am very happy with the results. In the end, that is what is important. The material has worked for me for years and holds my closely guarded secrets. You are entitled to your opinion, just like the vast majority who purchased and have loved the material (many who have posted on this thread)
I was very clear in a post about a year ago that I would keep 10 copies to do whatever I wanted with---including selling a few more. I tried to be very clear and uprfont about that. Beyond my last post, you will not see this material for sale ever again. I respect everyone's opinion and have enjoyed the journey that Inspired took me on.

Ok...
I'm sorry, but I cannot just sit on the sideline with this one.

In short...this has been the WORST purchase I have EVER made in magic or mentalism. Allow me to explain...
I purchased this about a year ago when I had a little bit of extra cash lying around to blow. Boy did I blow it. I heard Peter Turner mention the book in his penguin lecture and fell into the snare.
I don't even know where to begin with this... There is so much deceit revolved around this thing it is quite sad.
First of all, please Greg...for the sake of our intelligence, and yours...stop with the "Limited release...I'm holding 10 copies for myself and releasing them slowly over time...this is a first come first serve basis."
You're not "holding" anything. This is an Ebook. An Ebook priced at 175.00. Ask yourself this...
Is your material better than Bob Cassidy's? Richard Osterlind? Banachek? What about Docc Hilford? These are guys that have been performing for DECADES. I can't even begin to imagine how many pieces of paper Richard Osterlind has tore up. I can't begin to imagine how many palms Docc has read. These are professionals. These are people that have dedicated their life to the very art you are mocking. That's how I felt when I read your material. I felt you had mocked a wonderful little known art...an art deep and rich in history...all for the exploitation of making a quick buck.
Let me pause right here and say that I am in no way being aggressive, attacking, or intending to hurt your feelings by saying that this is the worst purchase I have ever made. I am merely speaking my honest feelings (something I think sadly does not get exercised enough inside these green walls).
The last purchase I made was Bob Cassidy's "The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy Vol. 2". Its price? $65.00. $65.00 for a lifetime of his works compiled into a hardback book over 400 pages. Entire acts in this book. Not a limited release. You can purchase it on Penguin as we speak for the same price as when it came out. I've read it about 4 times front to back. Every time I read it I learn something knew.
Now before anyone says..."The author is free to price his work as seems fit". Yeah, I get that. But that's not the point. Honestly ask yourself if you feel your material is better than these men who come before you. Grey haired, tired and beat down from the road of traveling...performing thousands of shows, sleeping in motels, sacrificing a secure conventional lifestyle...all in the name of our art. They do it for the love.
I honestly can't speak on the effects in the book because I don't remember a single one. They have long been forgotten. I do remember reading the entire Ebook twice. I also remember the thing about the house alarm code, most specifically how impractical it was.
It just really bothered me when I clicked on "Latest and Greatest" and saw that you had bumped this thread from 7 months ago with the whole "I'm down to my last 2 copies." You said you were down to your last few copies in February. Now you are saying that you have placed some of these "ebooks " aside over the last several months? Seriously?
Again, I'm not here to bash you or throw dirt. That's not what I'm about. Just speaking my honest opinion. As a Paramedic working on an ambulance, if there is anything I have learned, it's that life is too short and fragile to not express your honest feelings and to guard your tongue. I have to call em' like I see em' these days. I hope you can respect that.
Always in good thoughts,
Matthew
Finally someone who will speak their true feelings.
If you guys missed this, don't worry, the LIMITED release will be available every 3 months.

Without naming names, it's quite obvious who got a free copy to review. And I speak from experience when I say that it is very difficult to give a negative review if you receive a free copy. Especially one that costs an arm and a leg, such as this.

The amount of assumptions that are made without facts are really fascinating. I rarely give out a free copy to review. There are 5 pages on this thread with lots of honest comments. Why is it that all the negative comments are "brave" and the mostly positive comments must be because of a free copy? That is neither fair or accurate. Again, to each his own---I will keep creating.
