Anna Thurlow, the great-granddaughter of Mina Crandon aka "Margery the Medium", has graciously allowed me to share several original and unique items related to Houdini and Margery from her own private family archives -- the Libbet Crandon de Malamud Collection -- on my Houdini blog. These items have only ever been seen by a select handful of people, and have certainly never been posted on the internet. I'm honored and thrilled that Anna has chosen my blog to share these treasures with the magic world.

I'll be posting something new each day this week as "The Margery Files." First installment is below. Hope you enjoy!

I've concluded my special week-long Margery celebration with a "bonus" interview with Anna Thurlow herself. Great week. Record traffic. Lots of cool stuff (revealing Margery's actual seance kimono was the "grand finale"). You can click back into each installment at the end of the interview post. Thank you Anna!

These were a great read!
I've never seen anyone else express this opinion, but I think that the relationship between Margery and Houdini went beyond the playfulness you see in the headlines and turned sexual in nature. She was quite the looker after all.

There's actually a X-rated comic book featuring the amorous adventures of Houdini and Margery. Smile

Check out this photo, Chad.

Is any more likely to come out about the relationship between Margery and the second Lady Doyle ?
Or even more so, about Dr. C and the lost boys?
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

You'll have to ask Bill Kalush about that. I would love for him to do a follow-up to Secret Life. He opened a lot of doors in that book.
