Very enjoyable routine. I loved how you used a quarter which I don't see too often. Keep up the good work!
Current things to work on: Everything loops, Pinky count, Coins coins coins...

Thank you for the feedback! I usually use half dollars but because I only have a jumbo quarter coin I used the quarter I ordered a walking liberty jumbo I'll probably shoot the video again.

Looks cool, nice and magical. Personally, I feel that one coin routines should not go on for a long time because the audience will figure out that you are "just hiding the coins."
Having said that, your jumbo coin work is quite good. |

Thank you fonda,
Do you mean the jumbo part was too long? |

Welcome Arturo,
You have the moves down well but I would agree with fonda here that it might go on a bit too long, with both coins. He's right that after a short while, it doesn't come off as magical but more clever in hiding the coin. You have everything you need, just whittle the routine down a bit to the best of the moves you do and I believe it might be even better, more magically received. In general, good job with it. And hey, is that a quarter or a half dollar you start with? If a quarter, it comes across to me as a bit too small to see and follow, perceived as easy to just hide. Perhaps a half dollar or even a silver dollar would work better as the bigger the coin, the more harder specs think it is to so simply hide it from their view - hence more magical. That's why your jumbo coin work looks so well. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Mb for the helpful advice I will definately work on that! As I said I usually perform with half dollars but I used a quarter here because I only have a jumbo quarter and no jumbo walking liberty. I will shoot another video when I get my jumbo half. I think its a good idea to use my best vanishes and shorten everything. Will definately do! Thanks everyone!

I meant the whole thing in general, yeah. MB says it better.

Very nicely done, Arturo! I liked the routine generally, though I agree with fonda and MB wrt the length. You really can't go on too long with coins - that's very true. Your jumbo coin work was great; looks like you put a lot of work in with the jumbo in particular!
Don’t downplay the quarter too much... Working with borrowed coins almost always goes over big because the spectator then has no reason to suspect some kind of gimmicked coin. If you are working very close-up, using their coin or coins can be most magical. Thanks! Jim |

You have a great controll of the Jumbo coin.... my only concern is that you used the same vanish 7 or 8 times in a row... and people could figure it out!...

I really like your handling. Well practiced. I generally try to follow the rule about using the same move many times in the same routine; once is magic, twice is a lesson. Less is more.

Too much handwashing in my opinion, but other than that great stuff.

I'd say too many handwashing is responsible for the feeling that it's a little long. It's clear that you are doing sleight of hands so overproving that your hands are empty is actually the same sleight repeated times and again. The hand washing is used here for proving your skill not to prove that there is no coin. Try taking some off.
Now there are some very magical (as opposed to skill) effects in your routine and it makes it globally very enjoyable. Just streamline it a bit and come back for further friendly and constructive advice by your peers here in the café.
