Jerome,
Do you have any tips for managing note books? Recording ideas in notebooks is one thing but how do you then manage the information...turning it something that can be organised, reviewed and mined for gold? Do you have a process/ system? Thanks
I no longer smoke camel cigarettes.

My notebooks are typically the 5 subject pads...I use pens, highlighters and LOTS of "Post It" notes as markers and tabs for easy reference.
On the covers I use a big sticker/label with the month, day and year, topics of note, a temporary working title and other information. I also code my notes and material via color...and with notepads in every color of the rainbow this is pretty easy. For example, I know my black notebooks are for seance work, the green ones for magic/mentalism/hypnosis, the red ones contain detailed notes on readings and Q&A, my yellow pads are for general information, etc. On any given day you can find me with half a dozen or more notebooks in circulation. When I need to research, brainstorm, reference something or get a creative boost, it's a simple matter of going to my library and pulling out all of the notebooks of a certain color or color combination and getting to work. I have several hundred FULL notebooks of my writings from over the years and it's a huge help and support being able to access them when needed! Once my notebooks are finished and completely full, I take a few days to transcribe everything I've written into my computer. This isn't a very elegant system, but it's entirely practical and has always worked out really well for me! Best, JF
