I am looking for plans on the Victoria Magnet (I think that is the name of the illusion)
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanx! Magical Greetz, Peter van Rhein |

Hi Richard,
It is the routine where the audience members on stage are unable to move the magician or assistant from their place. I was not sure of the name so it could very well be the Georgia Magnet you mention. Can you tell me anything about this ? Thanx! Magical Greetz, Peter |

It is indeed the Georgia Magnet. I believe Bart Whaley wrote a book on it. I remember seeing the work on it someplace but I can't remember where is right now. It was also sometimes called Resisto.

Thanx Richard!
With this new name I found on the Café that Brian Gillis & Sisupahn use it in their show. I've e-mailed them and now hope for a reaction Magical Greetz from Holland, Peter |

I Richard,
Just got mail from Mr. Gillis, The Georgia Magnet is the trick with shifting your weight. I learned that in my Judo-years (loooong ago) The thing I am looking for is where the assistant cant be pulled up by audience members. Maybe you know about this one? Magical Greetz, Peter |

It is the same thing. It is just a matter of presentation.
