Hi guys,

I've been hearing a lot of GREAT things about Ortiz's Zen Master effect.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything on what the effect actually is, other than the fact it is very strong!

Could anyone be kind enough to post a description of the effect?

Phase 1 - Spectator selects a card and puts in back in the deck. The Spectator can then freely cut the deck as many times as they wish. The cards are placed in the cardbox by the spectator. Magician is able to determine the location of the card i.e. 27th card down
Phase 2 - Spectator takes the cards out of the card box and is again encouraged to 'mix' the cards until they are satisfied and place the cards back in the card box. A card is name, again the Magician is able to determine the location of the card.
Phase 3 - In effect, the last phase is identical to Ben Harris/Steve Shufton‎ effect x-ray. Only that it is 100% full proof. Do a quick search for an overview of that effect.

The beauty of the effect is each phase becomes more and more impossible from the spectator's point of view.

I cannot begin to work out how any of those phases are accomplished, and I've been using a MD for quite a while now! Seems brilliant.

Would you be kind enough suggest a source from which I could learn the routine?
