This is an awesome topic!
For me it's: Rush --> Billy Joel --> Elton John --> The Who --> Cream --> Everyone on stage at the same time playing the most absurd rendition of 2112 Overture

Mine would have to be a three day festival. Since this is a "dream" line-up I limited my choices mostly to bands that can't or most likely won't be together or this list would be way too long.
Day One: Blind Melon James Brown Sly and the Family Stone Parliament-Funkadelic Prince Day Two: Stevie Ray Vaughan Faces Humble Pie Little Feat The Band Ray Charles The Beatles Day Three: Queen Mahavishnu Orchestra Black Sabbath Led Zeppelin The Who Jimi Hendrix |

Believe it or not, one of my favorite concerts of all time was Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys at Carnegie Hall in the early 1960's.
Here is a recording of the opener of the live concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnQp4Z8CW7w |
