I've only ever seen Luke Jermay in Vegas a few years back. Next time I'm out that way, I plan to see Paul Vigil or Gerry McCambridge.
Marc Salem is performing around my area until late February, so that's on the agenda as well. |

I've seen full-length shows by Christopher Carter and Max Maven, with plans to see Marc Salem at Milwaukee Rep next week.
I should add that my own one-man show (link below) is about to celebrate its ninth straight year of weekly performances this Friday. Best, Neil

I do full public shows in theatres in the UK.
Have done medium sized tours for the last two years & picked up lots of 4 & 5 star reviews. Last year I won best cabaret at Brighton Fringe (3rd largest arts festival on the planet - approx 900 shows) & a Three Weeks Editors Award for being one of the best ten things (out of 2700ish) at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival (THE largest arts festival on the planet). I have announced 37 UK dates for spring/summer so far here: http://www.iknowwhatyouarethinking.co.uk/dates.html and will be announcing two more this week. I should be booking a larger Winter/Spring tour later this year. Here is a trailer for my 2012 show http://youtu.be/e7m1nMMLc60 You're all very welcome to come see me. |

LOL.
I don't think I'd be lining up for a John Edwards performance! John Edward indeed! |

I've seen ALL of Derren Brown's shows, I've also seen Luke Jermay (and loved it).

I have watched all of Derren Brown's shows (taped theater shows) and think they are brilliant in the theatrical sense. Even if I don't care for a particular part, the overall show is fantastic.
The only thing I have watched of Luke Jermay's is a piece of theater he did for the Emotional Intelligence DVD. I didn't care for that very much...but it was a DVD performance for a trick he was selling so it is probably not a fair evaluation. I have seen Christian & Catalina live when they were touring. I was quite surprised that mentalism could be that funny and that strong at the same time. Very comedic and yet, still delivered strong effects. They are probably the funniest mentalists that I have ever seen. I have seen John Archer's DVD where he did a live performance for what looked like a magic club meeting. It was good. But it did not seem like a show as much as a string of effects. But, this was for a DVD so it would be difficult to judge him on that. On the flip side his performance on Penn and Teller was fantastic. Keith Barry was another one I forgot I had seen. His show was OK. I just couldn't get into his style. He seemed a little distant to the audience. Mindvention is amazing! I have gotten to see a lot of acts that I would never see otherwise. I like it when Danny has someone perform a full show. It really gives you a different perspective than watching 10-15 minutes of people's shows as in the Gala show. Don't get me wrong I like both formats. I just think seeing someone's full show is really a treat. Even if you don't like it that much. Anyone know who Danny will be bringing out for their full show this year????? |
