Hi all
Could anyone give me their opinion of T-154 Mindscanner? - From the description it sounds like a very clean mind reading effect Thanks Cliff |

It is a nice clever piece Chris and most Tenyo collectors will want one in their collection. However if you really like the effect and want to perform it than the Thought Transmitter by John Cornelius is the way to go.

Mind Scanner is really cool. A really nice way to present mind reading- goes nicely with John Mazza's Sherlock Holmes routine using Tenyo Future Clock. I also like that it can be abstract and that you are not just limited to ESP symbols, number or letters.

I think the original idea of "Mind Scanner" is brilliant--the secret workings, if you will, that John Cornelius took for "Thought Transmitter."
The problem today is that no one carries business cards in a plastic box of the type used in "Mind Scanner," and it's a trick that works very well with a familiar item such as a business card. Even the plastic box itself looks oddly dated. |

Thanks for your thoughts
I have gone ahead and bought this I love the "Thought Transmitter" by Mr Cornelious - a few years ago my batt***** ran out and it looked too complicated to change myself and too much of a hassle at the time to send it back. Is that an issue for Mind Scanner? I have spoken to John about his routine and hope to add it to my collection soon Here in Spain - or at least from the printers I use new business cards always come in clear plastic boxes - so carrying that around with me shouldn't be a problem. Is the clear box essential for the method? Best Cliff |

Mind Scanner uses 4 odd sized batteries. I think they are "N" sized batteries. The Mindscanner instructions say "Four (4) 1.5V/R1 type batteries"
Tenyo did not include the batteries with the trick. The batteries slide in, very easy to install. Duracell sells them here in the US with "Medical" branding on the package. Here at a local Office Supply Store (Staples), you can get two for around $5, so $10 will do it. Someone told me they rigged it to take two AA batteries which should not be too hard to do but then the available voltage would be 3 volts total as opposed to 6 volts with the four N batteries. Yes the entire box is needed. You could perform it without the cover. |

No one in the United States carries business cards in a clear plastic box.
