I've seen it for around $10,000.

I think Alex is talking about second hand when he says "used earlier".

Try Magic Auction and look for a second hand model in Europe. (But make sure it is from a recognised and authorised dealer).

You should check magicauction.com .
They always have a few 'Impaled' illusions listed.

Alex is my friend and we see each other several times a week. He either wants to buy a secondhand impaled or the better, build one himself.

I try to help him building one but it is not soo easy. Every kind of help is much appreciated-in pm's please. Thanks in advance.

Alex,
This Illusion can be VERY dangerous if not built properly. I strongly urge you to NOT build it yourself and ONLY purchase an Impaled built by a reputable professional company. This Illusion could possibly harm yourself or assistant VERY easily if not properly engineered.
Extreme care and extensive practice is also advised.
Good luck in your search,

Yeah I've heard these tales too. Some VERY reputable illusionists do not perform it for the fact that some of their assistants have injured their spines/backs from performing the illusion. Looks great but its just not worth the risk. What ever happened to the scissors model that was REALLY cool.
Kind Regards

The scissors model was built by Bill Smith and is owned by Italian illusionist Erix Logan.

Even some professinal models are not guarenteed for safety.

I am not sure if it is still available, but Yoganos "Improved pierced on a Lance" uses a different method completely to the Impaled. Without giving anything away, the base is just a thin board which the lance is slotted into ( no great mirror balls or the such like).

David Mendoza builds an awesome impaled. And Owens builds a few different models. Also, there are ones from Tilford in a variety.

I don't suggest buying from Tilford but it will give some great design ideas. But my two favorites are the Syringe Needle Impaled, and from Owens, the Fountain impaled. That one it really interesting.

Yes, the Water Fountain Impaled does look interesting...sort of a water levitation and impaled in one. Also, John Gaughan builds Impailed Illusions.

I have two higher educations: the ENGINEER AND the CHOREOGRAPHER. In constructions of illusions anything complex I do not see! All illusions I build itself. The help in manufacturing a forward part of a belt is necessary for me.
