Hi!
So I know that sandwich tricks are more associated with the magicians than mentalists, but it's not quite the case with this one, hehe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO3nDYnkLdY I was wondering if you could give me some feedback on this? Also, do you perform anything with the food/drink? What kind of effects are these? I'd love to hear your experience |

There's a sandwich trick in syzygy that's pretty good. you have a sandwich in a bag as a prediction, and you correctly foretell the meat, bread, condiments, etc., on the sandwich, that a spectator then names, if I remember correctly.
Some people hear voices.. Some see invisible people.. Others have no imagination whatsoever.

If I performed that exact routine on 100 people, statistically 50 people would think I was pretending to be a mentalist.
So would the other 50 people. M&S |

Cpbartak, that sounds interesting, do you have recording of the performance perhaps?

I have done a sandwich effect on one occasion. In performing mnemonicosis, the card the spectator cut to was the mate of the card he named, which, through a judicious application of the double life, was next to the card he named. Inviting him to think of a second card, he magicaly named the card hidden between the two previous cards. Through telekenesis, he materialized a random named card between another randomly named card and the mate which he himself had cut to earlier, that happened to be next to his chosen caard. Outside this sort of scenario, Im not sure sandwich effects an be understood as mentalism, though a riffle-peeked card side stealed between two jacks a la Martin Nash may be played as such. If you nail it.
