As a Canadian magician living in southern Ontario I'm proud to post this article. Apparently one of our local boys here in Mississauga broke the world record for the most consecutive coin rolls in one minute..along with a few more records to boot! Congrats Michael Francis!I now hear he'll be attending the Roy Kuepper lecture in Toronto so it will be fun to see just how fast those coins can move.

Hey! When I was a bit younger (and I have witnesses!) I did the 'COIN ROLL' WITH FOUR COINS,SIMULTANEOUSLY. I TAUGHT JOHNNY ACE PALMER HOW TO DO IT IN THE '80S. I was motivated to do it by a fictional character in a "SHADOW" MYSTERY by Walter Gibson in the mid '40s, when I was 15.
At 81, the hands don't always want to do some of those things--I ALSO DID TWO 'FIVE COIN STARS'(ONE IN EACH HAND)SIMULTANEOUSLY! Nobody offered ME any "records"! --I did manage to make a good living in the business, all my life, though! JON RACHERBAUMER, and many others, saw the 'four coin roll'. C. THOMAS MAGRUM showed me the 'five coin star' in 1950 at the IBM/SAM convention in Chicago. Does this 'count'??? Can I call myself a PRESTIDIGITATOR??????? --heck, I (almost) can't even spell it!!! RACHERBAUMER has been kvetching me to write a book. I'm writing it. I think I'll include the story of the four coin roll and the five coin star in it. For those who've seen me work>>>I'M GOING TO WRITE UP MY MISERS DREAM ROUTINE in the book. --I've only had 67 years to work on it!

Amazing.
When you try coin rolls, you realize it is not so easy do to. Of course it is all about training but doing 49 coin rolls in one minute is pretty impressive. "O Canada" ;-) |

Hey Carny - welcome to the Café! I don't care so much about THAT specific video. I'd love to see just what something in the neighborhood of that fast looks like!
Look forward to hearing more from you... |

???? Nice juggler's feat but I don't get it in magical terms!
Is there a world record for ROV, or French Drop, or Muscle Pass, or Al Schneider Vanish? Sincerely, what's the point?
