I just got an e-mail from Israel (Devious) saying that he's in his fifth week at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Scottsdale, AZ; as proof, he attached a picture of a spectacularly beautiful Diplomat pastel dessert that he created. The man has talents well beyond the mere magic that we practice here. I envy him this opportunity, and I'm so happy that he's thriving.
He spent two weeks in Northern Europe, visited Norway, and got to see the Aurora Borealis; what an experience! Now he's in Scottsdale - big Arabian horse country! - and doing quite well. He's still grieving the loss of the love of his life (as we all would be), but he seems to be living his life to the full. He wanted me to pass along to the gang here how much he misses everyone; I'm happy that along with that I can say that he's doing well. |
