I mean 3 Fly could be seen as that actually haha. Personally, I'm using Eric Jones's Peregrination routine from his DVD set. It's very simple but also constructed very well.

If you have learned enough to do a thumb slide type action at the start of a routine... the Sankey item is clever ... and just a little acting at the end can get you a clean last transit of a coin not to your hand but instead to a surprise location. Okay?
...to all the coins I've dropped here

I suggested a variation to Peter Marshall's routine using the spectator's cupped hands as a table.
It appears on page 2852 of Apocalypse (October 1997). |

A hybrid from Ross Bertram, Geoff Latta, and John Bannon. The 3 coins wind up back in the original hand along with the 4th as in the Ross Bertram routine from Stars of Magic.

Chad Long's Three Across from his "Lost Cheesy Lecture notes" Vol.1. This is an all at once coins across that is a great intro to a one at a time coins across. I smoke magicians with this all the time, and the Laymen love it.

Leonard, that was very impressive! It's pretty much the way I do it, if I have no gaffery. Nice 'click' pass! It all works! You have an edge. I hope people get a thrill from seeing it!
I need work. I have several methods. Back in the 70's I used the 5-coin, one-ahead principle. Of course lapping the last coin cleans you up. A stand-up routine with four coins needs a spectator's hands, for sure. Angles and eye-contact are essential with some moves. Others just nerve. Doug |

Coins Across lends itself to so much personal creativity and that's what's great about the effect IMHO. Unless you're doing it like someone else, you're doing it your way.
I have a couple of CA effects, one with just 3 coins I came up with because I thought at the time that 4 coins was just a bit monotonous. I called it KrazyKoinZ Across on my old Short Pockets download. I still like doing it at times as the moves are unorthodox and bring about a bit of surprise in doing a CA effect. I also do something I call EZ-Breezy Coins Across, not hard and quite magical, a fun effect with 4 coins as asked about here. I first started doing these sorts effects from Bobo's and then from Ammars Simple version on his Intro DVD. I took off from there on my own and been flying ever since. There are some beautiful Coins Across effects out there and if you're up to just a little extra... I must say that David Roth's [ Coins Across has been a real favorite of mine, when you want to make it all look a bit more impossible. Definitely worth learning and not difficult to do for some strong on the spot coin magic in this particular genre. Oh, and I always love hearing from friends like Larry and Doug here, always good solid/real advice... And Doug, always love hearing the breath of experience and insight from you buddy. I'm so glad you're here dude and just as magical as ever. ABRACADABRA, ain't God good?
