The description:
This is a book test with a real difference. The performer is able to provide a scintillating journey through the world of philosophy, reveal an entire page of information that has been chosen randomly by a participant in the audience, and unveil an additional mystery that naturally links into another routine typically used by mystery entertainers. This new release takes the original Cogito Ergo Sum to a new level, with beautiful line drawings of each philosopher in the book The World’s Greatest Philosophers, a new pocket size paperback that fits in a jacket pocket for walk around and business presentations, and a new kicker finish that is a perfect link for further explorations in non-duality. The book comes ready to perform with printed instructions on the background concepts and ideas for enhancing the performance. Line drawings are from Phill Smith of Sushi Design. My view: I have used the original Cogito Ergo Sum to great effect for many years now but this new pocket size version is just beautiful! It's appearance and layout will pass muster, as to all purposes 'A Collection of the World's Greatest Philosophers' is a normal looking pocket reference book. The line drawings, along with the full name of each philosopher, make for a stronger presentational hook and the inclusion of the Descartes Pendulum illustration, in place of the Playing Card in the original, is in my opinion, more authentic and a natural lead into pendulum work should you wish. Cogito Ergo Sum II takes a principle that most of us are familiar with and turns it into a 'thinking man's book test', which you can carry with you to educate and obliterate at any time. 10/10. £25.00. http://www.alchemy-moon.co.uk/cogito2.html Paul Mc.

Many thanks for posting this Paul. This is a real worker for me, and fits nicely in the suit jackt pocket. I have used this for business presentations, academic lectures, my stage show, and walk around performances. I have road tested this version for over a year and I am very pleased to release this. The surprise reveal has been changed to be more consistent with the premise of the routine and reflects feedback I have had from the mentalism cmmunity.
Phill Smith (of Mitox fame) is a genius and has created orginal artwork of all the philosophers in the book. For all my US based friends, you can find this here: http://www.stevensmagic.com/index.php?ma......d=113557 Best wishes Dr Todd |
