I'd like to test it out on my son.
He's read them all multiple times. |

I can only speculate on how the books are gimmicked, but it seems like a spectator who turns out to be very familiar with a giant bestseller like The Shining might think "Wait a minute...this is the middle of the book. Danny meets Mr. Halloran a whole lot earlier than this." Someone like me, who's only read the novel once, might just think "I guess I misremembered how early Danny met the chef." But someone who's read the book several times (and loves the book enough to have read it several times) might strongly suspect foul play. And if he comes across a passage that seems to be out of place, the first thing he's going to do is flip to wherever in the book he thinks that passage is supposed to appear...and, at that point, the jig might be up. And hundreds of buckazoids is a lot to spend on something that might be rumbled because the book being used is so popular and familiar to so many people.

This is why I would not get them personally for me....
1) If they are going to be books that are mundane looking, and I want to use them for years... I don't want contempt books that will eventually be out of date. Then I'll want some old classics etc. 2) What is the purpose of the booktest anyway - there are some cooler and less expensive methods that are do much more than divine words of a paragraph... 3) There are basic methods that you can pick any book at random from a bookstore and do a basic test... tons of them...cost nothing. 4) Books can wear out... replacing them is a cost. 5) Sorry to say - if a booktest somehow is designed crossing a line (first few pages of the thread here) I am not going to support the creator. I'm just curious - I came on to this thread as I like doing dark mysterious presentations that are psychological/mentalism/spooky etc. so I wanted to read up on this as something to consider - in the end, FROM THE END IMPACT EFFECT on the AUDIENCE, how is this innovative or different from other book tests????

I want Brian Brushwood to sell all his book tests and make $600,000 in the hope that he will move away to some tropical paradise and I'll never see or hear about him again.

Wow, it's like the Olympic Closing Ceremony, only more so! More like the special olympics... I wonder if this was all in one room happening live if a fist fight would break out.

That wasn't my given name, but my dad must have wished he named me that since he referred to me by that name for all my life.

Speaking of book tests, I've been a fan of the first one Shawn does here since I saw it at CAM.

I can't believe this thread is back on topic. After all we've been through, I'm not even sure how to feel about it.

Shawn actually has an even more magical version of that first book-test, at least he was talking about it, but I believe he hasn't said anything really "public" about it yet. It's killer, and if he ever sells it, I'll be one of the first to pick one up. In other words, if this thread was about Shawn releasing his book test, then we'd actually have more relevant stuff to discuss

"Glance" is the only one I own, so my experience is limited. It's been a real winner for me, and I'm interested in expanding my knowledge. So please get serious, OK? I won't fool around anymore, unless something happens........... |

I love how the guy begs for the word after telling him something like "On scam school you reveal tricks, now reveal this one" and he says no... hilarious... Actually someone should buy this and expose it in a youtube video... just for the fun of it.
