Especially if you plan to do shows in a shower or bath its essential..

By the way the Hotel in question wasn't a cheap B&B it cost me £100 a night. I was at a business convention.

These things never go to court I believe insurance company settled within a week. It was the medical doctors took a couple of years to get the info together they were awful incompetent etc... Plus they were being paid a lot of money but they won't commit to any real opinion in case they get sued. The lawyer had to drag the info out of them over a period of time diplomatically.

If a lawyer takes on your case then normally your probably going to win it because they do it on a no win no fee basis. So they won't take on a case they think they can lose. Or they might not get paid.

So nothing was proved other than it was cheaper to give you 7 Gs rather than take a risk with a barrister in court?

It was proved that's why they didn't go to court they knew they would lose. They settled within a week no argument. The only time it ever goes to court if it isn't proved one way or another... and that is very rare.

If a lawyer takes you on on a no win no fee then its usually pretty water tight. Then the insurance company who covers you looks into it to make sure they aren't going to lose out or they won't insure you. that's why a lawyer can offer no win no fee.

That's why it rarely goes to court. If it goes to court then there is some doubt around the issue.
