I purchased it... I think it is a nice effect... the whole thing with this, as with all other things in mentalism is the presentation. it does what it says, the spectator can name any hour and the picture of the clock will be that hour. the problem with it is that yes they can examin the picture but they really can't play with it too much.

Many thanks for the prompt response(s). From a close read it seems as though the "prediction" is limited to 1 of 12 possibillities because the spectator must choose an exact hour, versus choosing an hour and a minute combinatiion which would be, in my opinion, a much stronger effect. So while 3:00 would be okay, 3:13 would not be possible as a prediction.
Thanks again. |

Must be an exact hour. It is not examinable. Seems that most of the time the spectator will want to take it from you and look at it, as they would any postcard you would show them. You can let them touch the face of the card, but you cant let them have it. It is a very real looking prop, high quality.

...On a similar note, I use this idea from one of Cassidy's works - hand the spectator your watch and ask them to wind-on the hour and minute hands to wherever they like. They see nothing suspect about the timepiece.
Now ask them to do the same thing while the watch is face down. The resulting time matches a prediction - EXACTLY (hours and minutes) that the spec. has been holding onto since the start. This I do with my old Seiko Automatic Divers watch. Frank.

...Cassidy's idea sounds a lot like that of the one Osterlind presents on one of his videos...
I use my diver's watch for this effect too... |

Edseas2,
It is a completely different principle. Kindest Regards, -George Tait |

I have an effect just like this (but uses a billet instead of a postcard) which will hopefully be in my new ebook, it is also completely examinable, you can give it away if you so wish.
the billet is also on the table during the effect, the only time you touch it is to unfold it.
