Of all the illusion that are being performed, which illusion plans would you like to buy? Like I would like to buy plans for Origami, Interlude etc.

I guess I disagree on a basic point. If a bunch of people are performing an illusion, that's the LAST thing I'd want to do. I'd want to do something unique that not everyone else is doing.

The both illusions, you are pointing at, have NO illusion plans.
It's common to buy those illusions from an authorized builder! |

I would really like to own the plans for Op-Art. I think it's a fascinating illusion.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

Unless you are working on a level where performing the "classics" will hurt your chance of booking then I would not worry about that. If you are working on a regional level, know that most people have never seen any of the most popular illusions. We always say "zig zag" is over exposed. But I have not seen anyone perform it in over 20 years. Watch Harbin's presentation. What great magic it was?

I first saw interlude performed by David Copperfield. It was a dramatic, sexy illusion. The many presentations I have seen since have been lame at best.

Further, if you simply consider doing illusion after illusion it makes a sort of boring (IMO) presentation. Why not come up with a story line, a logic, a concept, and then doing illusions that fit the storyline? |

A "wish list"? Hmmm, which Illusion would I like plans for (if they were available)...gosh. I don't know...maybe detailed plans for the system Copperfield used in "Flying"? That would be great! I saw that system up close and personal. I've never seen a rig like it. Light years ahead of Peter Foy at the time. Gaughan actually used the track-on-track system and modified it. That's for the 3-D effect.
What else...ya know, maybe a chapter on the use of B/A Corridors. I don't know if that's the correct term. I won't detail what they're used for, since this is an open forum. I think these are necessary for Illusions like "13". Not much is written about them. I think one I'd like is plans for the appearing helicopter. I know the method, but not the construction. Doug |
