I'm packing my bags right now. It's going to be a great event!

FYI: And as long as you are in Washington DC area... check out the "National Community Church"- recognized as "one of America's 25 most innovative churches."

NCC is one church with seven different locations in the Washington D.C. area including running the "Ebenezer's Coffeehouse" at 201 F Street NE- one block from Union Station and kitty-corner to the home of the Securities and Exchange Commission (the NW corner of the Capitol Hill historic district).

I think their first church campus is located at 8th Street and Virginia Avenue SE, and their seventh location is at a former theater on Barracks Row, the main street of Capitol Hill.

NCC's lead pastor is Mark Batterson, author of several bestselling books including the New York Times bestselling "The Circle Maker" (which I am reading through right now) and "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day."

See Batterson's blog at http://www.markbatterson.com or webcast at http://www.theaterchurch.com Family Christian Store(s) have been featuring "The Circle Maker" (published by Zondervan in 2011) and the Prayer Journal for this book lately- which has the subtitle of "Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears." Excellent and helpful book so far (although I admit I have not finished reading it yet).

Thanks for the suggestion. Don't know if I'll have any spare time to visit a church. But if I do I'd be more likely to swing by the National Cathedral to see if I can spot the Darth Vader gargoyle http://www.nationalcathedral.org/about/darthVader.shtml

HI Payne we will be doing a night time trip around DC for the performers. The cathedral is amazing lighted and is striking on the skyline.
