Just ordered this, I love gambling effects..casino con being ny favourite. I do a little set with just gambling effects so this will fit in nicely. In the blurb on the website it says you end totally clean and everything is examinable, does this include the key ring ?. If it does then I can imagine it could really fool the spectator. Really looking forward to this dropping by through my letterbox

Hi guys!
The keyring is examinable - I can tell you from experience that it is very commercial and the presentation is pretty much built in. If it's first you, it'll be a keeper. Cheers! Liam |

The problem is LM and BBM have brought out so many brilliant self-working card tricks collections - that this one is rather poor in comparison That is NOT to say it's super bad It's just the bar has been set so high by LM previous tricks/associated self-workers It's so simple - maybe do it as a mentalist trick with a borrowed deck... quick peek... then at the conclusion.... 'your card was a red one?' if you have one red/one black - then you have perfect info... or just watch closely and you know anyway then you can divine it all the bits and pieces... really don't [in my opinion] add anything - just find your own patter and story and it will play better anyway |

Respectfully, I'd have to disagree Duster - this is definitely a simple trick, but (and maybe surprisingly) the extra bits really do add to it. The wallet, the chance to win the money, the joke prediction, and then the card appearing in the keyring, and everything on the table being examinable, all just plays great.
As you mention, I've produced and performed a LOT of self working magic, both personally and on the four 'Self Working' projects with Big Blind Media. In terms of presentation, for me (but maybe not for you - we are all after all different in performing style) Gamblers Remorse has been a keeper, and something to just slip in the pocket and bust out any time during your set. I realise that everyone is different, but I just thought I would add my opinion, as I've performed both this trick and lots of other self workers, and you might be surprised just how well this goes across for spectators that you are interacting with. All the best matey! Liam. |

Liam very valid points. I would also like to point out that the longer we study magic and mentalism the more we will correctly KNOW how something is done. However that should not take away from the impact of the effect on lay people. This is a very nice effect and will entertain and that afterall is what we want.
Good magic to all, Eric |

This may be a very simple trick to perform but I think that the props must add another layer to this....it seems that all the props are well justified and I personally think that when spectators can handle anything used within an effect then it takes their mind well away from the simple part of the trick...I'm really looking forward to adding this to a small set that just consists of gambling effects....

Got to say from my experience of doing this effect a lot of times over the years( ie. doing it at about 4 events a week, every for a couple of months & then leaving it for a few months & then slotting it in again over the years), I have had fantastic reactions from this.
From Pat you could get a larger Cabaret version as well. I only bought the close up version & that's the context in which I did it. The reason I do effects for a couple of months then change them is because I rotate stuff to prevent boredum (for myself )& complacency setting in. A brilliant piece of fooling entertainment with a hook . Well done Pat Fallon. Mike Donoghue |

Ive thought up of a way of doing it what means you don't need a reveel in the key ring bit.

The trick is good. How YOU present the trick your style is what will make this good trick...a great one. You may change any part of this effect to your own liking. To attack a performer is unjustified and only makes your opinion seem biased. I would streamline this effect yes...but in no way does this take away from the props or the effect. Wwhen I purchase an effect I almost always look at it and change the performance to fit who I am (I may even be an old 80s fat magician...but very handsome) therefore making the routine mine.
Good magic to all, Eric |

Received this today. The props are good, the effect is easy to do. All in all I am very pleased with it, it will fit into my gambling routine very well, like a previous post said...it's how you present the effect that makes it a good one. There are many ways to do the C### F#### so it looks more convincing. For me this is definitely not a bottom drawer purchase. I must also mention the great service from kaymar Magic. Cheers Liam. Thanks for sorting the blank Svengali as well.

Presenting the spectator with a challenge and a chance to walk away with your money is the biggest hook with this effect..well that's the way I will be presenting it..no mention of buyers remorse or gamblers remorse..unless I screw it up and loose the money of course!! It's all about using your imagination and turning it into an effect that works for you, it will probably change everytime I do it until I find a way to perform it that feels right..you can only learn as you go.

I just received this today, and yes you could use a different selection process to get the work done. I like it and I wish that I had purchased two of them! I'll be using it, a lot!

Received this today. Wonderful props. Yes, many different ways to outcome. Great looking simple props, not to mention a new key chain. There is a method included that allows you to have the key chain on the table during the presentation.
