I get the false riffles, but the named card ( unless this was predetermined for the demo ) is a head scratcher.

I love Dee Christopher Modulate and Chaos Theory is also only $5.

Maybe I'm tempting fate and should pass on it. lol.

On his other recent release [The Advocate], he patters about not getting satisfaction out of spectators' reactions, about not really being interested in doing magic.

Here is the proof.

I see a lot of versions of triumph out there, but I can not see any real improvment From Vernons in Stars Of Magic.

Some effects just don't need any updates I guess

You've seen Dani DaOrtiz's?
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

I won't forget you Robert.

I must agree. No improvements here. Though, I can see one nice advantage with this- you can do this standing up and do not need a table. But not something I would use- maybe it was his presentation that turned me off.

This is a good version of Triumph.

Why ?

Because it doesn't need a table so can be used for mix & mingle or at a clutered table. It's easy to do. The cards look mixed and it has 2 kickers.

A worthy addition to this effect and well worth the asking price.

Sorry- I have to disagree- the cards do not looked mixed. As a matter of fact when he is "mixing them" then riffles- you can see the cards are not mixed. Not very decieving IMO.

Plenty of in the hands Triumphs better than this although I do like the price point. Go look at Oz Pearlman's triumph project, really nice in the hands version.

What about the named card? That's what stumping me. Do you think it was pre-planned and he was set for it when the cameras were turned on?

Think of how the deck ends up, then reason your way back. There is no need for it to be pre-planned, and there is plenty of work out there on locating a named card using principles that are in play here.

True. But wasn't it a sweet coincidence that the card named was one of the two innermost cards in new deck order? Daniel must have felt blessed that it happened when filming the trailer...

I do something similar with Sid Loraine's shuffle, but I think if Daniel does do it with any card named ( even if it's in the middle of the deck ) that would be a fooler for punters. Salt Shaker thru table or vanish a little red silk are two of the most exposed tricks in magic, yet you still can entertain/fool people.

Again, plenty of similar work out there. Kimlat, Aronson and Ortiz come to mind.

It's an in-hand triumph in NDO. How many triumph effects do we need?

Horrible....

that's about all I can say. The presentation... The patter... Even the effect itself. Just horrible.

This is what magic has de-evolved into?

What is the opposite of chaos? Control? Really? What happened to order?

Madison needs to stick to what he knows. A sybil cut and how many variations on it he can think up.

I don't have this, but...it's a Triumph effect and people like those.

From the trailer, the patter is terrible ( + it's confusing )

Anyone get this and perform it?
