I even looked at the FCM webpage and saw there is one chapter in all of Canada. That is really sad.

Most conventions start small. If there are no organized meetings (IBM, FCM, etc) in your region, contact the entertainers in your area (christian or not, magicians or not) and invite them to an informal gathering. With this you can gauge any potential interest in regular meetups. After several meetups you can ascertain the plausibility of inviting a guest lecturer. Then possibly align your group with a national organization. The end result may not be a Gospel only group or convention, but one that could include that genre of entertainment.

For a while, Steve Taylor organized the Pacific Northwest FCM Convention in the Seattle area. I went to it once. It was a year they had Duane Laflin, Sammy Smith, David Ginn, Steve Taylor (of course), etc.
Seems a shame that they had to stop it. More on this page: http://www.stevetaylorpro.com/pnwfcm.htm - Donald P.S. Do you know about the upcoming "Family Entertainer's Workshop" in April 2013, in the Seattle area? http://familyentertainersworkshop.com/ Also, do you know about the upcoming "3 of Clubs Magic Convention" in November 2013, in the Vancouver, BC area. Barry Mitchell will be one of the lecturers / dealers. http://www.ibmring92.com/tri-city-convention/ I'm not saying they are gospel events, but there will be some lecturers who specialize in family friendly entertainment.

Donald, I used to love going to Steve's FCM convention and in fact I even lectured there once (yes folks I am available for lectures)
Didn't know about the family entertainers one. Not sure how I missed that. As for the magic convention - since I am not a magician anymore, I don't go to them.
