Heyo. Wanted to post some ideas I've had regarding random production items (as opposed to the usual silks, streamers, livestock, etc...
Since I am new to attempting to perform for anyone but family and friends and small gatherings. But now that I AM looking to start branching out, I want to be very careful not to step on anyone's toes or use anyone's ideas without permission yada yada yada. I'm sure I can't be the first person to have thought if these as production items, but still, they're just some ideas I e had and wanted to run them past all you far more knowledgable folks to make sure I'm not screwing up or disrespecting anyone by using these: 1) pulling out an alarm clock that starts ringing as I pull it out of the production box 2) having a cell phone ring before pulling it out of the production box, answering it... "I told you never to call me here... Moooooom, it's _____'s birthday and I'm trying to put on a show! I'll talk to you later". (Something like that). 3) I have a gag 20 oz soda bottle that looks full but when you untwist the cap, it pulls apart into two vertical halves. "Oh wow, a soda. I'm so thirsty but I still don't think I can drink this all...does anybody want to SPLIT it with me?" More later... But yeah, really, like I said I know I can't be the first person to have thought to use these. But are any of them attributed to anyone in particular or are they all "generic" enough that they could all be used without guilt? Like really, who was the first person to use the "Watch... Watch... WATCH" joke? ( I'm sure somebody on here DOES know... But it's used sooo often that I can't imagine everyone who uses the joke got permission from the originator. So yeah. Just thinking/ typing out loud here v Thanks all! |
