Hey guys! This is definitely an AWESOME effect from the brilliant mind of Dan Hauss - I've been using it a ton these past few weeks.
This will be officially released at http://www.thebluecrown.com this Thursday night at midnight as a DVD or Download. It is also currently available for preorder through Murphy's so you can get it from your favorite dealer shortly after the release. You'll have a ton of fun with this!

Ok, that looks pretty *** cool. Not that I don't expect Blue Crown effects to look bad ass, but that's really cool.
I wonder how much prep, and reset there is.

For the main effect, the prep only takes a few seconds and the reset is instant. There are other variations and bonuses with other requirements, but the main twisting effect is very quick and easy to set up!

Dan Hauss making it happen at 46th and Broadway in Times Square! Was Sandy, The Naked Cowgirl, out there?
Cool looking effect. Love Dan and The Blue Crown! |

Looks great but here in Spain the straws don't have lines on them ! Shame.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

Can it be examined before or after? I do the Crazy Cup gag and other straw stuff, so I wonder if the same straw can be used.

Looks very interesting.
(Perhaps) two stupid questions: can we use any type of straw provided it has stripes and is the length of the straw important? |

It's a good thing the DVD comes with straws then - you can perform this right out of the box!

Can it be handed out when the lines are twisted?

Looks amazing ! Is it possible to change the straw and finish the effect or do you have to restore it back ?

Hello everyone!
We are very excited to have just released Stir Crazy! The download is available right now, and if you're looking for the DVD version you'll have to wait a bit for delivery. What's the difference? The DVD version comes with the straws to perform the effect right out of the box, BUT if you feel you can easily obtain common straws (a couple of stops at your local fast food chain should do it), then feel free to pick up the download now! Personally, I LOVE this effect and can't stop playing with it and showing everyone like a little school girl...i mean...showing it to little school girls..I MEAN...ugh I should stop... http://thebluecrown.com/magic-tricks/stir-crazy.html Enjoy! Alex^ PS - a little birdie told me the bonus effect may be worth the price of the effect alone. |

Here in Sweden the McDonald straws are bendy straws (striped of course) so my question(s) are: kan you use a bending straw? If not, can you cut off the bending part and use the shorter straw?
The reason I am asking is that I haven't seen any straws with stripes but without the bending part where I live... Mikael Johansson Sweden
