Really looking forward to mine now.
how stretchy is it? Could it be used to refill an ITR? Or is it too elastic for that?

It could definitely be used to fill an ITR - similar stretchiness to regular vectra, imo. I know a SPP can handle WN, so I would guess it could handle virtuoso as well with no problem, but since I don't own one, I can't be sure.
As for haunted deck...I managed to perform various versions of IT haunted deck with the thread. I had up to 52 cards on top of the selection (using jokers in the deck), and had no problem with performing the effect. I also did try to float a floating apple, and while it did float tenuously for a second, the thread broke and the apple fell. That seemed to be right around the break point weight wise. TO give you an idea, vectra is claimed to hold up to .25 lb, but we know floating a deck of cards can be a little risky. A deck w/ jokers is 3.3 oz, without around 3.2 oz according to my digital scale. That's around .21 lb. My floating apple clocks in at .7 oz, or .04375 lb. That would mean that vectra can hold roughly 5x weight by my test. This is by no means conclusive as I'd need a better way to test it, but it was clear the apple was around breaking point, so that seems to be a good estimate. It's pretty strong for the invisibility, but no where near vectra strength, that's for sure! Last note: I went back and compared to spectra with a bright white LCD screen underneath each. Both seemed to be about equal visibility, in that case. |

I just hooked up for the HD and experimented multiple times.
First using just the top 1/3 of the deck. No breakage. Then using half the deck ( which I don't do with the HD because it's too heavy ) and again no breakage, done multiple times ( 5 ). This isn't IET, but it has a distinct stretchy property to it. I have it on hung on a white wall and I can see it. When I went outside ( it was dusk ) I lost it and had to feel for it. While doing the HD experiment my wife said she couldn't see it. I was wearing multi colored shirt. |

I'm still working with the same strand from the other night. It has not broken. Granted, I treat IT like it's nitroglycerin, but this is strong stuff.
I was doing the HD this morning, outside ( half the pack ). I could make out the IT, but the Mrs. said she still could not see it. |

I just received mine
I will try it in a multitude of fashions and report back. I need a new battery for my Tarantula, no biggie. And I have a SPP. So I will test in those, as well. Along with other items. I will see if I cannot measure the load bearing weight, as well. LokI |

I have finished a three day weather/weight testing on it.
As well as traditional hookups. Tomorrow I will rig it into various devices and seek the max load. Then I will give a detailed report. I won't review something after a day. I live with it for a bit. LokI |

Today I did Morgan Strebler's SPUN with a quarter and it easily handled that weight and the stress of the coin spinning.
If you don't know SPUN: http://youtu.be/pi_LwBwZg6s?t=52s This isn't Morgan, but you can see what the quarter goes through: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhkdX3ukZ.......be&t=9s |

Hey everyone.
I have finally finished my testing of VVEGIT. Now I do not test things like a rational person, so let's get right into it. This is called an "expert" grade IT, and it really is. The reasons will fall on both sides of the spectrum though. First off, you should watch the video Steve has explaining how to deal with this stuff. I did, then immediately did my own thing. (Why test something if you are not going to do what many others are?) I was able to strip about 4.5' before my whole sample went haywire. End of review. No. It's not. I actually knew that I am an a+s+o+e and warned them of this when I ordered. So it was all good So following Steve's advice I got a nice healthy length out, and I immediately wanted to play with it. But I controlled myself, and pulled it together. I was going to do this right! So I pulled a 6' section taught, and attached it to the wall in my snake's room. In there it gets hot, cold, humid, breezy; it is like menopause. Why does this matter? Well snakes need... Back on track. I have tried, sometimes even succeeded, in using IT in my more respectable work. It usually doesn't. Even when I tried on the strip, IT would pull a 9Xs anchor out of wax in 2 seconds. In humid areas IT stretches. In cooler places IT gets brittle, and breaks easily. IT reminds me of Shakespeare: "Giddy Fortune's furious fickle wheel, That goddess blind, That stands upon the rolling restless stone." It may be my obsession with only levitating rings though... They are heavy. (I deal in 5.6 gm and 8.3 gm weights). Fortunately I was giddy when I found that after three days, it had not changed one bit. This was an impressive discovery. Even my snake was jealous of IT. Now it was time to test it. Fearson style. I floated some bills and lighter objects and found that the "Expert" tag was really paying off here. This stuff slides like a stripper's knees. It was like they had waxed my knuckles. I was Fearful that it would break on my hands as my fingers have hair on them filled with testosterone. Everything moved very smoothly, it really shows a difference. I had to "put a ring on IT" though. So I did. And the 5.6 gmmer dropped like a dead weight 2" I was worried, so I decided to skip the 8.3 and move onto some toys. I pulled out a Tarantula and a SPP and was ready to "Taunt Gollum" and I saw the narrow crevice that belongs to the Tarantula. No way was I gonna try that. So I loaded it into my SPP and was about 8" out when I noticed that the cap was ridiculously sharp edged. That was all it took. I really believed this one strand was going to last my whole life. I sat confused for about 10 minutes before I decided to accept it. So I took the SR, which this lines into very easily I might add, and made a new end. Now here came a surprising part. This stuff is invisible! IT is really hard to see! I put on my future glasses that bump life up like a TV looks, and it was gone! Turns out, those glasses block blue light. And this is blue. Now you can finally perform for Race-Car drivers and Marksmen, they won't see it with their glasses on. This is probably why NASA went out of business. Finally, I decided to just baby it until I understood it better. How is something smooth, and snaggy at the same time? The world is upside down. So after some time with it, I was able to get it kind of reliable on a SPP, and I did a "Lunceford-esque" deal on camera to stress its balls off. Here is that vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSho0XAsidQ As you can see, I even did that weird thing the SPP does where it goes "neutral". I normally do a ring fireball HADDOUKKEN! here, but it was more of a "Fwosh". This was filmed in HD in a normal light situation. So now you can't see how it works, and that is a good thing. All in all, this is a great thread, if you are invested in IT work. If you are just trying to flop stuff for your friends, this will probably annoy you, or make you a better person. IT depends on what you are willing to give IT. IT is invisible, really, and it does run very straight. But you will have to master the prep, and the patience necessary to not look like a freak using IT. IT is snaggy, and frail, but IT will work great on the types of levs IT is intended for. Thank you for reading. LokI |
